An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
