I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
